Olympus noise canceling plug-in microphone ME12
The Olympus ME-12 microphone cuts down background noise when dictating in high noise environments
The Olympus ME-12 microphone is a plug-in monaural condenser microphone which cuts down background noise when dictating in high noise environments. It can be used to get clear recordings of your own voice by reducing the effects of ambient noise to give more accurate transcriptions when analysing recordings with speech recognition progams. Dragon Naturally Speaking speech recognition results are improved when this microphone is used with many recorders. NB Not suitable for recording conferences/meetings.
For speech recognition the microphone should be placed 5-8 cm (2-3 inches) directly in front of the mouth. Only for use with recorders which can supply power to an external microphone.
Audio transcriptionists say this tiny microphone vastly improves their recognition of problem consonants (e.g. "B", "V"). Plugs directly into the digital recorder's microphone input jack
