The easy-to-use Marantz CDR-310 is the first truly portable, CD-based recorder. Press Stop then press "Make CD" and you have a CD within a few minutes. Though CD burning is widely used via a PC, existing direct-to-CD recorders have lacked portability and ease of use - but the CDR310 has changed all that. The CDR310 is ideal for interviews, meetings, broadcasts, lectures, focus groups as well as therapists or tutors who want to give their clients a copy at the end of a session and any situation where more than one party needs a copy. With suitable microphones and the uncompressed setting the CDR-310 burns CD quality music CDs - demo discs of your own band maybe.
The compact, lightweight CDR310 has a 4GB on-board hard drive recording high quality 16-bit audio in several file formats: CD-DA, WAV, AIFF and MP3 which you then burn to CD instantly, on location. Using battery power, you can take the CDR310 anywhere. The CDR310 also has two powerful new features to ensure that you wont miss a thing even when a meeting or event starts without warning: Background Record and adjustable Pre-record modes.

- Incorporates pre-record mode and Background Record to capture all the action. By simply switching on, the Pre-Record mode is engaged and creates a rolling buffer of recorded audio, up to 10 seconds long (user selectable) so if your meeting or event starts unexpectedly, youre protected.
- Once the event has begun, the Rec-Pause function activates Background Record mode.
- If theres a break in the action, just hit Pause. If anything vital then happens, its captured on the CDR310s hard drive. When the meeting officially resumes and you release the Pause control, the CDR310 gives you the option of deciding whether to keep the audio captured during Background Record.
