The Audio Technica ATR6550 Shotgun Microphone gives crisp and intelligible pickup in either setting: 'Normal' setting is for standard proximity and 'Tele' for picking up sound far away, while not picking up surrounding noise such as traffic, air-handling systems, room reverberation, etc.
